How we checkedChecked 2026-09-21: the brand's own Facebook page for its Petaling Jaya outlet describes the restaurant as "Pork free, non-halal authentic Japanese restaurant" (post dated 2021-04-26). The brand's own website uroko.com.my (copyright 2025) lists "an impressive list of Japanese beers and sake", sets corkage rules for sake, shochu and beer, and lists this Nova Saujana outlet as open. A JAKIM public directory search for UROKO returns no record. The operator's own statement that it is not halal is the basis for this status.

The restaurant says it is not halal, and that it does not use pork. Checked September 2026.

Very nice ambience and surrounding. After our golf game, dinner at this restaurant definitely a right choice considering the trafficking chaos. Service was excellent, food served after 15 minutes. Price was fairly reasonable. Good place to enjoy your dinner with friends & family.
