This Macca's is one of the six outlets in Victoria that have a halal menu. The updated list of halal food available are updated yearly, so be sure to check it at the restaurant. It's usually displayed near the counter or at the drive-through window.
Most of the standard menu is halal (except of course for the burgers that contain bacon) but usually the seasonal or limited time only ones are not.
This branch also has a big kid's playland.

If i get tired of burgers at McDonald's, I go to Burgies. The burgers are definitely better and they only use fresh ingredients. Order with a side of the delicious waffle fries and a sinful thick shake, and you're good to go!
There is a kid's play area conveniently located inside the dining area as well, and a baby change table in the ambulant toilet.

I didn't quite like the Taste of Thai branch on Sydney Rd, because the two times I went there it was just too stressful for me (not that it's the restaurant's fault!) because my two small kids were not behaving and the restaurant is just too narrow and packed!
I finally got to sit down and enjoy the food at the Broadmeadows branch because it was quieter and had more space to move around, especially for my children.
The food was really good Alhamdulillah and the portions were huge!! I ended up having to take home most of the food. The service was good too.

Zeit w Zaytoon is a middle eastern bakery, offering a variety of traditional Lebanese dishes and pastries. They also have a selection of breakfast and lunch dishes.
The place is usually packed, with the pastries being the best sellers. They make realy good bread and pastry! The kitchen usually closes by about 1pm or so, so it would be best to visit the restaurant mid-morning.
They also serve good coffee and the wait staff are always friendly, which is always a plus!
I personally think this is the best Lebanese bakery that I have tried.

This place is my go-to for authentic Malaysian dishes. Located strategically in Craigieburn Central shopping centre, the service is pappa rich-style where you thumb through the menu and write down your orders on the order sheet before submitting it to the waiting staff.
It has all the Malaysian favourites: roti canai, roti telur bawang, all types of nasi lemak and nasi goreng, kuay teow, satay, teh tarik, teh ais.. the list goes on!
I might be biased because I'm a roti canai monster but i personally recommend the roti as it's crunchy and delicious. Don't forget to dip it in the gravy too!

If you love steaks and burgers, look no further for some of the best Melbourne has to offer!
All steaks are halal certified (without the basting). If you're not into steak, there's still salmon, lamb and chicken dishes which are halal as well.
Disclaimer: As you may have guessed from the name of the venue, yes they serve wine and other alcoholic beverages and they are displayed in the restaurant, and they are also used as part of the decor. They also serve pork. Steaks have to be ordered without the basting. The disclaimer on their website states as follows: "A selection of Monte Beef products are Halal certified from our supplier and precautions are taken in the cooking methods of our dishes, however our restaurant kitchen environment is not certified by the A.F.I.C. We clean tongs, boards and pans when preparing these dishes mentioned within the parameters of above."
