If you love curry and you love buns, then this a place worth trying. Its a brand under the famous Old Chang Kee that sells various puff and buns at affordable prices.
The bread is chewy and soft that one bun is just not enough! Hahaha

Decided to try this outlet located at level 3 in JCube. Its a small outlet that sells dessert.
Quite affordable menu items and i decided to try their chocolate icy. Nothing great but the person next to me was eating the yummy taro and it look so good.

always my 'go to' place whenever im craving for that dry fishball noodle. They have affordable set lunch with just $1 top up to get a drink.
Food is served hot everytime and the chilli paste is just..oomph!
They have various outlets in Singapore aside from the one in Kallang: Jcube, Bedok Mall and they recently just open a 24hrs branch at Tampines Hub!!!! And the thing is, different outlets serve
varying items such as the one in tampines hub serves prata set. Gonna try that one day :)

theres a foodcourt in Jems shopping centre called the Foodfare. So if youre sick of fastfood or on a hunt for simple food like nasi lemak, then theres one gem located at level 5!
Was here during lunch break and since my colleagues wanted to eat here, i was kinda worried there wont be any halal stalls.
But, Taste of Nanyang came to the rescue. Its a halal certified stall and the serve food like nasi lemak, chicken curry (with rice), kaya toasts, penang asam laksa, mee rebus etc etc. The prices are also quite reasonable and sometimes they have special combo sets during the week.
I tried their special combo set which was chicken cutlet curry rice which only cost me $4.50. And if i added $1 for drinks, i got to choose between bandung or plum juice.
The food was good and the portion was quite alot, comparing to other food places ive went to. definitely a place id consider going again!

Decided to have a go at Bigbox's foodcourt located at level 3 and we settled down to try some ayam penyet from Penyet King.
Price is at the normal range of $6.30 and above, and there are options like fried or grilled chicken, bakso and fish. Personally, would rate this as a 6/10. Nothing great about it but something you can consider if youre shopping around the area!
Also, theres a musollah at the basement carpark!

If youre craving for a good sandwich and since Subway is not halal, dont fret. Toasties shares the same concept as subway and their menu is Halal certified.
Choose from a handful of choices of sandwiches available and you can also add on other items into your bread. Prices for full set menu comprising of potato wedges, cheese dip and drinks, ranges from $7-$9. Slightly pricey but worth the try once in awhile in my opinion.
The only downside is that there is only two outlets in singapore; Clementi and Tampines.

If youre nearby Tanjong Pagar and dont know where to find halal food, this is one of the gem at Maxwell Food Centre.
Kaki Lima is known for their ayam penyet but they also serve other dishes like spaghetti, fish&chips etc. Prices are reasonable too. I got my ayam penyet at $4.50 (if im not wrong) but the ayam bakar is priced slightly higher.
The uncle will ask if you want normal chilli (ayam masak merah chilli) or spicy chilli (sambal belacan).

Another addition of halal food line serving fried chicken in Singapore! They have quite a number of outlets spanned across the country especially in shopping malls. Aside from their signature fried chicken, they do have burgers in their menu.
theyre pretty similar to jinjja chicken, and if i were to make a comparison, i would vote for jinjja as their sauces are much more savoury. However, the only slight disadvantage for jinjja is that it is only located at Bugis.

Another food adventure in search for the best naan in town!
Tried their Naan Platter for two and we were served with a reasonable amount of naan, a plate of tandoori chicken and a bowl of nasi biryani with around 4 cups of gravies.
The naan is soft and chewy, and was served hot cause they made it upon order which was awesome (!!!) The gravy portion was also reasonably alot, simply worth the price and really filling. I forgot the price but you can check it out and their other menu items at their website.

Nearest praying area: Musollah located at BigBox carpark or at IMM. (Do google for their exact locations)
