I'm a fan of Eighteen chefs food but this was my first time at this outlet. They have an outside table with fans so it was just nice for a Friday dinner. We ordered one of their specialty which was on promo; Heart attack fried rice with whole chicken and beef. We also order their bolognese fries and waffles for desert. Service was quite fast despite being full house. The fried rice was quite nice, the chicken juicy and beef cooked to perfection. The sambal belacan was a winner as I had never tasted such flavourful sambal belacan before. It was slightly sweeter than spicy. The fries were great. Full of meat and cheese. Waffles were crispy ib the outside and fluffy on the inside. Great with the raspberry sauce and ice cream.
We came back to try out Hei Sushi after 5 years as a new outlet has opened closer to home. Since the weather has been raining and cold, we decided to get their beef nabemono and grilled unagi. After the first try, their beef nabe has become my favourite dish there. Its so warm and soothing. Filled with vegetables and the miso soup is very savoury. We couldn't stop sipping the soup. The unagi is perfectly grilled with teriyaki sauce. We also tried their vegetable tempura. It was ok. Would have been better if the batter was more crispy.
Our first time in Wingstop so we were a little taken aback by the variety of flavours and sauces you can choose from. Eventually we chose Buffalo Bliss and Mango Fire. It cam with wedges and celery & carrot sticks. My favourite was the Mango Fire. It tasted quite similar to Mango chutney. Buffalo Bliss was a bit too sour for me but both were a good experience for my first time. The wedges were quite crispy and hot when arrived.
Seoul garden bbq is my go to place whenever I crave for grilled meat. Its affordable and the quality is always consistent. You can cook your own food the way you like it. From my picture, we made our own fried rice with egg and cheese on the side. There's are big variety of meat and seafood available for you to choose from. You can even make your own desserts.
Fork and Spoon is a halal foodcourt that is located at Toa Payoh hdb hub. Its located on the 2nd level. Being there at 10am, most of the stalls were still in the process of opening so we decided to get something fast and simple. We ordered the tom yam ramen and western half spring chicken rice. Simple but delicious!! The tom yam was spicy and flavourful with chewy ramen noodles. The spring chicken was so crispy, served with white rice and sambal. We also order some fried dumplings at the end and it was served with a ginger soy sauce dip. Did not have a chance to snap the pics of the food as we were too hungry.
My favourite place to go everytime I'm craving for korean food. I will always order their Dubu Kimchi Jiggae (tofu Kimchi soup) and fried osyster mushroom!!! Refreshing but slightly spicy. If you can't eat spicy, they have a miso option for your soup. Their mains are always served with side dishes (kimchi, pickled radish & cucumbers). The soup portion is quite big for one but you can always share.
Tiffany Cafe is located inside Furama City Centre Hotel in Chinatown. It is an intentional cuisine buffet that consist of a variety of local dishes. Their raw salmon is one of the best I've tasted. They also serve ala carte menu.
Finally tried this giant grilled squid snack located at B1 at Bugis Junction. Be prepared to spend some time to queue as there was a long queue when we were there. Squids are prepared either fried or grilled. We ordered both with spicy & curry flavour each. The portion is huge!! I prefer the fried squid as you can taste the flavour better.. Grilled is not bad but more bland. Squid is chewy and satisfying..
Osulloc is a cafe which specialises in green tea. If you like green tea, make sure to visit Osulloc. This cafe is located all around Seoul so its quite easy to go to. The interior is very cozy to have coffee with friends. We ordered the matcha latte, matcha cream cake. I personally love matcha and this was not a disappointment at all! You can surely taste the matcha flavour in the latte and cake.
Halal lamb bbq in Seoul. The meat is halal certified & imported from Australia. This is the most expensive meal I had in Seoul because its lamb, which we don't mind because its that good. We tried almost all the different varieties on the menu and our final bill came up to almost 150,000 won.. But it was worth it!! 👍👍👍 The restaurant name is Yang Good, a few minutes walk from Yeoksam station. Do note that the place sells alcohol.
