Fresh is a unique cafe located near the hustle and bustle of Queen Street. The first thing we noticed: Free wi-fi! It's quite hard to get wi-fi in Auckland. The menu consists of various items, from burgers to waffles to shaved ice. But as they serve pork, we decided to just try the shaved ice -- and that's the best decision ever. We ordered three for all seven of us to share, and we can't get enough! They're really good. We tried their Mango & Cheesecake, Chocolate & Cookie, and Cheesecake & Almond. They are also so pretty! If the weather is cold, they sell various coffees as well! It suits the unpredictable weather of New Zealand 😂 They have tables at both indoors and outdoors. If it's cold out, don't worry as they have a big heater to warm you up! We are satisfied with the price as we get to share, and with the lovely service we're not complaining too :)

Meet Fresh is a franchise place that serves Taiwanese desserts. Its menu is quite wide, and most of them looks refreshing. It varies from shaved ice to waffles. The long menu did not make ordering easy 😅 but in the end we ordered one herbal jelly and a new menu, mung bean cake to be shared among us three. We definitely like the taste of what we ordered, as they make us feel fresh. It's definitely a good place to go to with Auckland's hot weather, especially this summer! The price is quite pricey, that's why we shared. $8 for that herbal jelly, that's quite expensive but considering the size, we can tolerate I guess. The setting itself is quite cosy, with Asian music videos (either korean/taiwanese, i have no idea) playing on the television. It's located near Queen Street, the heart of Auckland, only separated by rows of buildings. If you're from the AUT mosque, just head left and go straight down the road. It's vegetarian friendly and for more

Wellingtonians! If you're bored with $5 Dominos pizza, you can try Heaven's $19 pizza! Thank goodness I'm blessed with wonderful and generous friends 😁 This is a must try, maybe just once. Woodfire-oven-cooked pizzas are the greatest, you can definitely feel the difference. The ambience of the restaurant is also humble, and quite intimate too. It's a good place to catch up with friends or even just to go on your own and contemplate on life....

Tried its Cookies & Cream waffle, where the waffle is topped with a chocolate sauce, crushed oreo cookies & fresh cream. Not bad, but I think you can make it on your own if you'd like to. Plus, the price is quite expensive. If you're really craving for a waffle, you can try it once. Be aware of the ingredients that were used in the waffles, as sometimes they put marshmallow and liquors as special toppings. When in doubt, ask, but it is wiser to always ask. 😍

Scopa is famous for its best hot chocolate in Wellington. If you're ever feeling down, or you need a lift, or if you just need to fulfill your cravings of chocolates, don't hesitate to give this place a visit. The consistency, the taste, the thickness, just blends together and it will create a memorable experience like no other. I'm dead serious 😂 Oh, we tried the vegetarian pizza as well, with prawns. It's great to taste a pizza that's fresh and made from scratch. The environment is quite noisy, we almost had to shout to hear each other talk. It is almost always full, maybe not so full in the morning or during weekdays. Always good to give them a ring :)

Tried its hot chocolate and iced chocolate, too! When we first came into the restaurant, we were amazed by its interior. But as the lighting was quite dark, we couldn't take proper pictures. The drinks are good, but we think we mainly paid for the environment. The music, the ambience, is suitable for you who wants to experience a calm dining experience. We didn't eat anything as the foods are quite pricey 😂 But certainly, a nice experience nonetheless for those who likes to do some cafe-hopping!

Crab Shack is a must-go restaurant if you come to Wellington. They have a branch in Auckland too, though. When you enter the restaurant, you will feel as if you're in a fisherman's shed as the decoration features various fishing gears creatively. It's suitable for various occasions, but during lunchtime and dinner it gets a bit busy. They have a variety of choice in their menu, so don't worry. Their seafood is very much reccommended, as it's their specialty. We love their chilli butter crab as well as their seafood tacos. Their soft shell crab tacos is to go for! Also, they have different special offer everyday, so be sure to ask for the special menu when you come. When we came, we asked the manager about the brands they use for chicken and beef, and he confirmed that they use halal brands. But please feel free to double check :) The price is very appropriate, especially if you're keen to share with 2-3 people. Plus, you can check their website t

Alhamdulillah, finally a new place to review! This time, it's for PappaRich Wellington. It's a very famous franchise restaurant based in Malaysia, now opening its second branch in New Zealand. The first branch is in Auckland :) As Malaysians who misses Malaysian food so much, we rushed to the restaurant right after class! They even had the write-your-own-menu style like they did in Malaysia. If you're not familiar with it, you will first be given a menu and each meal/drinks have its own code. You'll be given a paper and pencil to write down the code and quantity of each meal that you'd like to order. Then, you'll have to push a button on the utensils holder to call a waiter who'll collect that paper. So convenient! When we came, the atmosphere is quite noisy as the restaurant is full. You need to speak loudly to 😂 6PM is the high peak hour, while 8PM onwards, people starts to leave. The kitchen closes at 9PM so be sure to come before that 😊 The

This cafe serves everything chocolate, and they are very good at it. From drinks to cakes, you will have your sweet tooth satisfied if you come here. We tried the drinks as they are alcohol-free, as well as some vegetarian pastry. My favourite is the affogato. It is suitable for various occasions from catching up with a friend, to having a quiet moment with your loved ones. The cafe have 2 levels, and the upper level is mostly quiet while the lower level is fairly busy. The price ranges from below $10 to $20, but it is better to share if you're not a sweet toothed person. It's located at a prime area near the intersection between Willis Street, Boulcott Street and Manners Street, so be sure to stop by if you're at the city. 🍫🍪🍩

This place is located in Queenstown at Shotover St. near Lake Wakatipu. We found this restaurant while sightseeing and was attracted with its Lunch Combo. No halal certificate is seen, but the manager confirms that the lamb is halal. They did not serve any pork dishes. The ambience is nice and quiet for a private dining experience, and the waiter and manager is friendly too. The taste of the food is quite good and nicely balanced. They serve common Indian menu, ranging from $10 to $23. I reccommend coming for lunch, where the price adds reasonable value to the dishes. Enjoy!
