Pizza express is also located in the heart of the Muslim population in Mt Roskill just a few minutes from the Mt Roskill Masjid (Masjid E Umar). Situated in the Mt Roskill shopping centre.
Great customer service, all staff are friendly and they offer very delicious pizzas.
They offer all types of pizzas from spicy butter chicken pizza to the standard Tandoori Pizzas. Variety of sizes from small to standard to the massive 18" pizzas.
Also they have burger options and specials for these on Tuesdays.
All ingredients used are halal and have been verified by the Muslim staff in the shop.
They have tables for customers to sit inside and out, it's more of an order and take away vibe.
Great for the family and if you're alone also smaller options available too.
Personally i come here many times in a week due to the delicious pizzas.
Personal favourite Carnivor pizza and Tandoori Pizza.

Lebanese food in the heart of the community
Mt Roskill is very populated by muslims and one of the main Auckland masjids (Masjid E Umar) is on the same road as Baklawa Cafe also known as Shefcos.
The owner of the restaurant is well known among the community.
Alhamdulillah the restaurant has many services which includes but not limited to catering for weddings, events, all you can eat buffet during ramadaan iftaar time. Also they do the iftaar for AUT masjid too.
The food is very delicious and you get the Lebanese cuisine alongside this you have coffee and can also get very tasty Lebanese sweets too.
Personal favourites are manoush/ zataar which tasted very nice alongside many of the other lebansese dishes.
Very spacious with a cultural setup to it and if you come on friday nights they have all you can eat buffets and tends to be packed with families.
Friendly note: They have a very delicious breakfast menu too.. Kitchen closes after 3pm an

This brings a taste of Afghanistan to Auckland NZ, only afghan takeaway I've seen in Auckland. This pizza leaves such a nice after taste and the fresh afghan roti will bring you back every time.
The customer service in this takeaway is really good and the owner makes sure you get the proper afghan hospitality.
They mainly sell wood fired pizza and also the afghan roti is available too fresh.
Conveniently the Avondale masjid is right next door too.
It's in a nice spot as you come up to the traffic lights you can't miss it.
I'd recommend to try this takeaway out.
