Lebanese food in the heart of the community Mt Roskill is very populated by muslims and one of the main Auckland masjids (Masjid E Umar) is on the same road as Baklawa Cafe also known as Shefcos. The owner of the restaurant is well known among the community. Alhamdulillah the restaurant has many services which includes but not limited to catering for weddings, events, all you can eat buffet during ramadaan iftaar time. Also they do the iftaar for AUT masjid too. The food is very delicious and you get the Lebanese cuisine alongside this you have coffee and can also get very tasty Lebanese sweets too. Personal favourites are manoush/ zataar which tasted very nice alongside many of the other lebansese dishes. Very spacious with a cultural setup to it and if you come on friday nights they have all you can eat buffets and tends to be packed with families.
