I was super excited when I first heard Australian vegetarian fast food chain "lord of the fries" was coming to nz. I waited in anticaption and only got to visit their pop-up type food truck this week. I love the concept and the fact that they also do vegan options. The food however didn't quite deliver. The spicy and supreme burgers were good but I didn't fall in love with the texture of the patties.. The munch box was abit too salty and they forgot to add the pineapple to our Obama Loaded topping. Ill visit again to try the other menu items but not in a super hurry.

Good to see another halal muslim-operated stall at the Sylvia Park Auckland Night Market. Had a chat with sister Farida who confirmed that they only sell prawn and halal chicken dishes. Had the $10 combo which consisted 2 curry puffs, 3 satays and 2 dishes - we had the pad thai noodles and green curry with rice. the curry puffs were super delicious and the rest all well delivered. Super deal!

Grill and shakes is amongst my top favorite places to eat in Auckland. The design and layout of the place is quirky and retro, and the food mostly always delivers. what i love be best about their food is the modern twist to some classics with a bit of fusion. I especially love their burgers and kumara fries and the massive range of milk shakes. By far, their shakes are probably the best around town. Always good to also have a chat there with the brother Farhan who owns and operates this place alongside his wife.
