Our hotel was right next to this place, along with a mini supermarket and halal butcher AND a huge masjid, right next door! So, wihtout shame we had takeaways for breakfast. The food is pretty good and it's fast and tasty. Their dried chicken is most popular, and it was nice as well. The food is cheap and affordable, and they come in big portions too. If you're staying near this place (near airport) and ur lookin for fast cheap food ya gotta come here, and when its salah time u can just walk right over to the mosque (Airport Masjid)the owners are friendly too. Food: 4.5/5 Service: 5/5 Value: 5/5 Setting: 3/5
Place was hard to find with a gps because it is actually inside a food court upstairs. Nice food, delicous actually, we had already tried papparich wellington so we knew it would be good. The food is so filling, and satisfying. The atmosphere is good but wellington seems better to me, in Auckland its slightly more busy. Make sure to write your orders clearly bcos we wrote RO1 but they rhought it was RO9 and i ended up earing a dish i didn't even order (it was still yumny tho)
My family is half chinese, so my mum was very persistent to come here to eat halal chinese food, reccomended by her colleague. The place is usually not open lunch Saturdays for some reason, which was a bummer because we hiked halfway through the city and it was closed. But we came back the next day fir dinner and ordered the famous beef noodles, fried lamb tripe, spicy chicken, spring onion pancakes, pan fried dumplings, fried beef noodles, and a coconut sago drink. Yeah, let's just say my mum was very excited. My first time trying tripe and it wasnt bad, tasted like chicken, but the portion was enormous so we couldnt finish half of it. The spicy chicken was spicy!! And it was very apparent with tons and tons of dried chillis that were displayed on the plate. The beef noodles is a classic at their establishment and they were great, so nice because the noodles are handmade and the soup is soothing too. Food was a bit salty and oily but tasted yum. もっと見る...
Grill and shakes is tasty and honest. You can taste the naturalness and care they put in their food. Voted best milkshake in auckland/nz even? Not surprised because they use real ingredients, and when i say real, i mean if u order a cake flavoured shake they'll put REAL cake in it. And it tastes AMAZING. the "grill" in grill and shakes shines through the fact they chargrill their meats to perfection, evem the meats on the pizza, like the lamb kat a kat which is sirloin and i thought it tasted the best. Our topped flatbreads (or pizzas if u wanna be general) were good, however i found the crust was so thin it tasted like crackers. But if ya like it thin, go for it! The flavours of the topped flatbreads are interesting, would reccomend the meatballs. Filling, satisfying food. The seating was unusual because it was obviously an apartment, dining was upstairs in rooms that were desperately redecorated to feel like a resteraunt, no luck though, with もっと見る...
It was our last day in auckland and we decided to eat some halal pizza. Drove to Flame, bout 10min drive. We ordered spicy Italian (chilli, onions and pepperoni) and Bombay Chicken (tandoori marinated chicken with apricot sauce, spinach and tomato) both were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! the italian was pretty spicy so we had a good bottle if l&p with it. The service was pretty good and not too slow. The crust was crunchy, proffessional, something you would expect from other top pizza chains. If u are in auckland you need to visit this place, both pizzas we had were 12" but u can get a massive 18" or a 9". Seats were a but awkward but i suppose its mainly a takeaway ur food kinda place. Food: 5/5 Service:4/5 Seating: 3/5 Value:5/5 Would i come again? Yes, definitely!
Our family loves Malaysian food. And wellington is abundant of it. One of the best places you can get malaysian food is Cinta. The place is a warm, small setting, family owned, the owners are lovely. The food is delicious and tasted so expertly crafted. I woyld reccomend the satays, the beef rendang and the haianese chicken and rice. It's also great because it's alot cheaper than regular malaysian resteraunts, disges that you would expect ro be 17$ + are actually around the $11-13 mark. Yet the food still maintains its quality.
This is defo one of my favorite resteraunts. I live the food here bcos it's so authentic, and it tastes so expertly crafted and lovingly made. You can take my word for it, I'm chinese myself. They make their noodles, pancakes wontons/dumplings etc from scratch, everyday. The lady who co owns the place is so lovely and smiley. The owners are a muslim family who come from the "Hui" Muslim Chinese community in China. They cook all sorts of honest and delicious beijing food. The place is packed at peak hours like dinner time 6pm-8pm or 12pm lunch, (mostly dinner) book if ur planning those times. Otherwise its an awesome wee gem. The prices however are quite high, yet the food is so worth it!!!
Papparich is normally packed at meal hours like 12 pm lynch or 6pn dinner. But luckyvfor us, we settled for a lovely late lunch at 3, when the resteraunt was blissfully quiet and mainly empty, save for a few tables of friends enjoying big plates. We were seated immediately and were given a menu. With so many options, it's hard to choose! But looking closely they're basicly the same dishes but with slight variations. I live the way u order bcos being a socially anxious little bean i hate ordering you know l, verbally. We just wrote down the numbers of the dishes and pressed the buzzer. It was lovely to watch the chefs in the somewhat open kitchen setting. Our meals came quick, and boy how delicious!! I liked the pappa mee goreng the best, but my dad gave a 10/10 for the beef rendang. When we finished we were (full) but hungry for more!! So we ordered cold desserts, the best and most interesting being the Lychee and grass jelly. The food and atm もっと見る...
