Salam Aleykoum,
We just got out. The building is very weird as you enter a different world just foreigners. A lot of indian halal food. We hesitated between chinese and malay next to it.
I had beef cashew nuts. And my wife beef shredded vermicelli. I was so desappointed that i decided not to take any picture.
My dish was too salty i almost did not touch it. They were sorry explaining that the chief is new for those 4 days as the usual one was off for chinese new year. They did not offer the dish i had to pay full price!
For my wife her noodles were ok.
Hope that others had better experience.
Next time we will try malay inchalla.

Finally I went to this restaurant inside Chungking Mansion. For the first-timer like me, I was quite shocked when I entered this building. Chungking Mansion is like another side of HK, full of foreigner. Even the smell is different. A lot of foreign shop here. Too many halal shop but too many tout too.. The best thing inside this building is there are a lot of currency exchange and they have good rate :)

We (mostly I) were dying for good local food. So tried our luck at the recommended Chungking Mansion. Amidst all the Indian outlets, we were invited by a "touter" to try the halal Hung Chinese Restaurant. Delicious! 👍👍👍👍👍 It's on the ground floor, to the right from the main entrance.
